My plan for this painting was to create a portrait of a woman wearing a dress that looked more like a landscape than cloth. I wanted to give the viewer a feeling of looking through the painting/canvas to the “outside.” I finished this piece by creating the illusion that her hair was draped over her shoulder to become the tree. I feel and see her strength, so I've deemed her a “Goddess.”
