This is a do-over painting. The original figure was a male acrobat. It was one of those paintings that ended up in my closet of misfit art. I recently brought it out to cut it up and use the scraps, but I had a vision that stopped me. It's represented here. There is something about this that pleases me so much. Maybe it's the pink sky, maybe it's her serious face, but probably it is her sensible shoes. I laugh every time I look at them.
