This is one of my favorite paintings. It pays homage to all the moms and grandmas (and dads and grandpas) that spent endless hours knitting those garments that we proudly sported in our youth. The small image here is the first draft of this painting. I called her "Jr. High Girl." Even though she grew up, she still wears the hat she wore in jr. high.
