This painting began with the small face that I stitched to the canvas. Originally, she was the face of a dancer in an older abandoned painting. I wondered why I was inclined to put a dancer in a flower pot. I added the flowers, and then the wings and a story began to emerge. This girl has what she needs. She has roots and wings. She'll be fine.
