The Girl with the Purple EyeShadow
16" by 20" oil on canvas
This piece will be available during the Spring Art Show on Facebook, starting May 8.
This is a long-necked, Modigliani-inspired portrait. I love working in yellows, whites and magenta tones. My favorite parts of this painting are the slanted right eye, her curved nose and the winding braid. (Braids are not easy to paint!) I used a palette knife to create most of the background and some of the highlights.
