The Girl Who Stole the Moon ​

I enjoy painting night scenes...mostly because its an opportunity to paint moon faces and starry skies. The title of this painting came first. I imagined a girl climbing a ladder and taking the moon right out of the sky. The dish, spoon and cowbell are a nod to the nursery rhyme "Hey, Diddle Diddle." They were not part of my original plan, but showed up as I was finishing this piece.
