She Dreams in French ​

I painted this after a trip to Paris. The beautiful city (and the people in it) left such an impression on me and my art. My intentions were to paint a simple portrait of a French woman, but, as the painting progressed, the Eiffel Tower appeared, then the river, the bridge, the silhouette of the bicyclist and finally the Frenchman. I imagine he has been trying to get her attention or impress her, but I don't think it's working.
