This painting gave me so much trouble. I didn't have a clear direction for it and was all over the place until I heard a Lana Del Rey song. The song included a sound clip from the old movie, "The Cowboys" with John Wayne. (which I loved as a kid!) The next thing I knew, I was painting her hat. The rest just fell right into place. P.S. The cigar is inspired by those found in old Clint Eastwood westerns.
