Bubble Gum Belle

This painting began with a girl in an oversized hat, her destination and purpose, a mystery. As the piece took shape, she transformed into a more refined figure, on the brink of becoming too elegant for her own sake. To inject a playful twist, a large wad of gum was placed in her mouth, adding an unexpected pop of color and a hint of youthful defiance.
