I was on a flight home from Florida, listening to my ipod, on which my children had just downloaded 600 new songs. One of the songs,
"Oviedo" by Blind Pilot included these lyrics, "...Cause I left all my doubts on the airplane." I couldn't get the line out of my head. So when I got home, I began this painting. I imagined she was feeling peaceful, looking up at the plane that was flying away with her doubts. It wasn't until I finished this piece that I realized the plane flew away with her shoes as well.
